Fall 2012 Trend: Wedge Sneakers

One of the Fall trends for footwear what you will see are high-top wedge sneakers. The high-top wedge sneaker is a sporty shoe with heels that provides a chic tomboy look but also a girlie look.The high top wedge sneakers started to be worn about two or three years ago, but by only the fashion risk-takers. 

When I see these wedge sneakers, it reminds me of a kkalchang which is a cushion that men put in their shoes to look taller. Many Korean celebrities, including female celebrities, enjoys taking advantage of the kkalchang. Due to the mind-set of looking taller, I believe that the wedge sneakers were first popular to most Koreans. 

I was one of the risk-taking Koreans who wore these wedge sneakers when it first came out. I still wear my wedge sneaker, enough though its tearing apart because it became a my regular sneaker that I feel comfortable to wear. I am one of those small and short Koreans who can't live without heels. If I don't wear any heels I feel really uncomfortable with my height because I am always around tall people. Which is why I am in love with these wedge sneakers because I look comfortable, causal and TALL!!

Outfit to Work

Having a hard time choosing a outfit for work? Here are some outfits that you can try out. The looks that you see underneath are looks that were worn by Korean actress, Kim Sum Ah, in a drama called "I Do, I Do." In order to bring out the look of a professional shoe designer role, she pulled off some looks that look professional but also stylish and trendy. 

The red slit skirt is the key to this look. Even though the pleated skirt looks simple, the long slit and the color red makes the outfit to pop out.

Simple and easy outfit. This coat is a simple double breasted coat. This look depended on how you style it. For example, the Lee Sun Ah styled her coat by folding up her sleeves and matching it with a bright purple clutch. 

Check out the novelty sweater top with blue jeans. This look is perfect during the summer because it looks refreshing and cool. The decorative holes on the sweater top allows the wearer to show off their top body in a way that is appropriate to wear outside.

Crayon-Colored Hair

Crayon-Colored Hair is one of the lastest hot trend thats been occuring for awhile. We can see more people bleaching their hair to add lighter colors. Some of the celebrities that followed this trendy look includes Kate Perry, Nicki Minaj and G-dragon.

Getting this look does damage your hair because you have to pre-lighten your original hair color by bleach before you add other colors. If you do not want to damage your hair by bleaching, another way is to get wigs or extensions. If you can not afford a real hair wig or extensions just by the cheaper fake ones. Don't worry about your wig and extensions looking like fake hair because today there are lots of wigs and extensions that looks real even if it is not made out of real hair.One of online store you can check out is Pinkage, which is a Korean online store specialized with wigs and extension. However, if you decide to actually dye your hair, I recommend going to professional hair stylist for a better result and long-lasting look.
